FC Lions COVID Training, Dribbling

I want players to spend some time working on their dribbling, and of course keeping up conditioning.
·         Here are conditioning exercises. Don’t forget to stretch before and after:
o   10-15 minutes jogging minimum
o   Conditioning exercises (minimum – feel free to do more):
  • 2 sets of 10 pushups
  • 2 sets of planks, 20 seconds per set
  • 2 sets of 15 crunches
  • 2 sets of mountain climbers, 20 seconds per set
  • 2 sets, instead of mountain climbers with one foot at a time, they have to jump in and out with both feet, 20 seconds per set

·         Coach Brice’s tips for dribbling:
o   There are many different dribbling techniques, but it is important to use your shoelaces, inside foot, and outside foot, not your toe.
o   Keep your toe down, and touch the ball with your shoelaces while moving forward.
o   Also, zig-zag dribbling is important as it focuses on the inside and outside foot.

·         Drills: The video below has 5 drills players can do on their own to work on dribbling.

·         This video of Lionel Messi really emphasizes what we just worked on in the drills:

I hope you all stay healthy!
